A new pop up shop is to open its doors in a south Monaghan town as part of a fundraising drive by a local charity to raise awareness of the environmental damage caused by fast fashion.
Carrickmacross Toy Library is aiming to throw the spotlight on the carbon footprint after-effects which can be caused by a business model that mass-produces cheap, trendy clothing in response to the latest trends through the opening of a temporary retail store.
Those plans will see the new facility be stationed in Castleblayney’s Crafty Coffee along the town’s Muckno Street.
